“Meri Ziev's voice and presence are needed in this world!”
— Peisha McPhee, International singer and vocal coach for American Idol and Ali’i Cravalho, the voice of Disney’s “Moana”.
About

Meri Ziev, Vocalist
Ocean Ridge, FL (Palm Beach County)
Meri Ziev’s love of art and music began as a child in Pearl River, N.Y. Her father was an artist and the first in the neighborhood to have an 8-track player in his Buick Riviera. Meri began singing in the car to Barbra Streisand & Frank Sinatra music, listening to the Big Bands on the radio, and enjoying show tunes on the living room console. Her love of classic rock springs from going to her brother's rock band rehearsals! She was a flute-playing "band nerd" in middle school and high school. Her most recent love is jazz jams. "Now, as a vocalist, when I perform and I see someone’s eyes sparkle, a head nod, hear a giggle emerge, watch a tear form, or notice someone mouthing the lyrics, I feel a sense of shared humanity. Evoking emotions, conjuring sensations, prompting reminiscences, these are what elevate the show. Instead of just a spotlight on me, the focus is on the audience. I know I am contributing to the community. If I can’t experience the joy of engaging others, I might as well stay home and sing in the shower!"
